About Us

Buffalo Animal Adventures, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) tax-exempt nonprofit charitable organization.

Our Mission

To create positive learning opportunities that explore the vital significance of the world's living creatures.

Our Vision

To instill the public with a charge of responsibility to be informed, life-long students of wildlife and the natural world.

OUR STORY

In 2004, college buddies Anthony Kelly and Jeffrey Scharoun sought to discover untapped opportunities in education that could benefit from informalized approaches.  With Jeffrey's interest in creating access for underrepresented students, and Anthony's passion for wildlife education, the pair began to think about ways they could make a positive impact in the local community.

After several years of development, Animal Adventures of Western New York, Inc. (DBA Buffalo Animal Adventures) incorporated in July 2014.  Formed on the idea of bringing wildlife to after school programs that lacked the resources for experiential wildlife learning, BAA began to develop their programs to include many other types of clientele.

Today, BAA celebrates its premier positioning as the leader in mobilizing wildlife and conservation education in WNY.  With the continued dedication of our staff/volunteers, and several valued local partnerships, BAA can be found in WNY's local schools, senior communities, public libraries, and so much more!
